Elisa Cuesta is a Madrid-based artist, designer and cultural producer researching on critical approaches to inhabiting the digital. She works in the intersections among the digital and analogue lives of media users, while revealing the tensions between the productive and the emotional value of private data and the risks associated to misinformation about privacy, surveillance and digital rights. Elisa has been awarded the Asturias Joven 2019 Award to Young Visual Artists and the XI LABjoven_Los Bragales Prize (2019). On early 2020 she was selected to “Systems” Artist in Residence programme at Science Gallery Dublin and The Dock-Accenture.

She’s been artistic coordinator and production manager of public and independent art&tech events, such as Tentacular Festival and MADATAC. From 2016-2017 she was graphic designer and art director at Medialab-Prado, Madrid’s citizen laboratory. She co-coordinates and joins part of the design community and association AIDI.
